This Excello bar magnet with internal thread is produced with a neodymium magnet enclosed in the metal body. The magnet provides the high magnetic strength on only one side (active magnetic side). The rest of the bar magnet is surrounded by metal which enables different types of thread. The thread facilitates easy mounting of the magnet and the magnetic abilities makes adjusting and moving of the magnet an easy task.
The bar magnet is part of the Excello quality series that provides certainty regarding accurate strength, long durability and precise tolerances.
The steel body posseses two additional functions; to serve as protective device against direct blows on the magnet and to increase the overall magnetic effect of the bar magnet. The bar magnet in steel body is ideal for applications where there is the risk of appearing a small air gap between magnet and surface (max 0,2-0,3 mm).
Magnetic strength for the Excello bar magnet
The magnetic strength of this neodymium bar magnet in steel body depends on the actual size of the magnet. As a standard the bar magnets reaches a magnetic strength between 6 – 1700 Newton. The right strength will always depend on the project at hand and the precise application. The high magnetic force is provided by the rare earth material neodymium which provides the strongest permanent magnets in the world.

The holding forces have been determined at room temperature on a polished plate made of steel ( S235JR according to DIN 10 025) with a thickness of 10 mm by pulling the magnet vertically from the surface (1kg~10N). A deviation of -10 % (max.) in the stated values is possible in exceptional cases. In general, the value will be exceeded.
