CO2 neutral website
Larko Magnet participates in the Danish environmental initiative ”CO2 neutral websites” together with more than 2000 participants from more than 50 countries.
The use of the Internet emits large quantities of CO2 due to the power consumption. For instance, power is used for maintaining all the servers behind the websites but the power is also emitted from all the users (monitors, computers, modems etc.).
This environmental initiative aims to join Danish and foreign companies in neutralizing the amounts of CO2 emitted by the websites.
At Larko Magnet we are certified as having a CO2 neutral website through the initiative Ingenco2.dk. Ingenco2 handles the neutralizations by giving rise to new and renewable energy sources and by buying certified CO2 quotas by the Danish Energy Agency.
The reductions are executed by mounting new renewable energy sources such as wind mills and by participating in CO2 reducing projects.
By supporting the initiative for creating CO2 neutral websites we neutralize the CO2 emissions from the use of our website which has a positive impact on the environment.
