Electromagnetic door holders – Basis

This Basis fire door retainer has been specifically developed for mounting on walls. The adjustable keeper plate is mounted on the fire door and serves as counter plate for the electromagnet.

Quality is the essential parameter when talking electromagnets for fire doors. Larkos line of electromagnetic door holders are subdued to strict testing during and after production thus securing the best product regarding force, material and design.

The basis electromagnetic door holder is normally connected to the existing fire alarm system. The magnet makes sure that the fire door is held in the open state for easy access between busy corridors. Only in the event of smoke detection the system will cut off the power to the magnet and the fire door will close immediately. Any spreading of smoke and/or fire will be prevented.

Safety for the Basis electromagnetic door holder

The Basis electromagnet complies with all valid European regulations – EN1155. Constant testing of the magnet is being made to obtain the highest safety of the product.

Product qualities

The basis electromagnet has a dimension of 55 x 55 x 33 mm and a holding force of 400 Newton / 24 DC / 1.6 W as a standard. The electromagnet has a 100 % duty cycle (ED) meaning that the magnet operates under constant power without affecting the magnetism.

The Basis electromagnetic door holder is produced with mounting plate and terminal clamp

All our electromagnetic door holders has integrated a spring loaded anti-remenance pin which ensures zero residual holding force when the magnet is de-energised. This ensures faster closing of fire door and additional safety.

Accessories

Adjustable keeper plate is included when purchasing this Basis electromagnet. Thanks to the joint the keeper plate can be adjusted and set with 60 degrees into the respective direction.
