SmCo block magnets
SmCo block magnets are produced of the rare earth material samarium-cobalt. SmCo block magnets are highly coercive with excellent corrosion resistance. They are commonly used at sensors or other devices where the magnet needs to operate in high temperatures.
- SmCo magnets are axially magnetized
- Quality grade RSC26H is used as a standard grade
- Tolerance: +/- 0.1 mm
- Max temperature: 350 °C

SmCo block magnets are characterized by their great ability to operate under high temperatures. Thanks to the hardness of the samarium-cobalt material the block magnet is ideal for industrial use and the magnet is often used at magnetic pumps, servo-motors etc.
Our magnets are also produced as SmCo ring magnets and SmCo disc magnets.
Remarks
The holding forces have been determined at room temperature on a polished plate made of steel (S235JR according to DIN 10 025) with a thickness of 10 mm by pulling the magnet vertically from the surface (1kg~10N). A deviation of -10 % (max.) in the stated values is possible in exceptional cases. In general, the value will be exceeded.
